Paper Picture Mama: Stationery for the Filipino-American Experience
Kapwa Kultural Center is proud to highlight Paper Picture Mama, a heartfelt greeting card and stationery brand created by Theresa Chung, a proud Filipino-American mom and creative from the Bay Area. Her work brings together tradition, connection, and community care through vibrant designs that reflect the Filipino-American experience.
Stationery Rooted in Storytelling
What started as a personal passion project quickly blossomed into a collection that resonates with Filipino families and communities. Inspired by everyday moments—shared meals, laughter, language, and heritage—Theresa began designing cards and stickers that reflect the vibrant flavors of Filipino culture and experience.
Paper Picture Mama is a project with purpose. With each purchase, Theresa Chung attends community events that supports youth groups and our community.
“As a Filipino-American mom, I grew up surrounded by love, food, and family—but I didn’t always see our stories reflected in everyday things like cards or stationery… My lived experience as a BIPOC creator drives me to give back to youth programs that nurture the next generation.”
A Shared Commitment to Culture
Paper Picture Mama aligns with Kapwa Kultural Center’s mission to honor and pass down stories rooted in healing, connection, and cultural pride. Theresa’s paper creations offer a meaningful way to hold on to heritage while supporting community wellness and youth education. For Theresa, being part of Kapwa is not just about showcasing her products—it’s about building community through shared values, stories, and intentions.
“Through cards and stickers that uplift and encourage, I hope to help others feel seen, supported, and connected to their roots.”
