Parenting Our Parents: Practical Support for Those Caregiving Our Elders
Conscious Caregiving is a monthly offering hosted by Raising Ancestors in collaboration with Kapwa Kultural Center. This is our 6th season of programming centered around supporting the generation that is simultaneously raising children, caregiving for our elders and healing our inner child.
Who: All generations welcome; caregiving roles are inclusive of bio, step, adoptive, surrogate parents; birthing and non-birthing parents; aunties, uncles, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, siblings, cousins and anyone who identifies as a caregiver.

What to Expect:

Caregiving Storysharing Featuring: Deodor Tronco; Christi Morales-Kumasawa and Marcia Ceguerra Tulio. Then open up to participants to share their story.
Guiding Questions: What is your caregiving role? How its going and what resources you wish you had or are currently utilizing that is helpful?

Practical Support From Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County:
Legal Aid staff attorneys will provide a brief overview of our free legal services serving San Mateo County residents with a focus on demystifying Medi-Cal, share of cost, IHSS, and our Power of Attorney (POA) and Advanced Health Care Directive (AHCD) clinic offerings.
