We are celebrating ONE YEAR and would love to celebrate many more with you! 🎉
Dirty Kitchen tells the story of a Lola and her grandchildren cooking Pinakbet together, tending a garden, harvesting vegetables like bitter melon, okra, and eggplant, and gathering in the “dirty kitchen” to prepare a Sunday family dinner. Through this simple, intimate act, the book lifts up themes of land, food as ritual, intergenerational relationships, and ancestral memory.
At KKC, we echo those same threads. We believe our café and cultural hub is more than just a gathering space — it’s a living kitchen of culture: where youth and elders come together, stories are shared, traditions revived, and roots remembered.
Remagination Farm is a regenerative land-based project centered on reconnecting people of color to the earth. Inspired by Grace Lee Boggs’ call to “reimagine everything,” the farm cultivates ecological justice, ancestral land knowledge, and collective healing. Their work empowers communities to shift from extraction to care — growing culturally rooted food, hosting educational and healing programs, and nurturing relationships between people, place, and future generations.
While Reimagination Farm cultivates healing and relationship with the land, KKC nurtures belonging and creativity within the community. Together, we grow spaces where people can reconnect — to the earth, to one another, and to the stories that sustain us.
